Hikkim - The world’s highest post office

 

The world's highest post office began its operations in Hikkim village since 1983 and is located at 14,567 feet above sea level.

 

The post office in Spiti Valley’s Hikkim village — said to be among the highest in the world .

The small post office is in an old mud house which is visited by thousands of tourists every year. Several selfie points have been developed outside the office. Tourists can send colorful Spiti picture postcards from this post office to themselves or their friends and relatives.
