Chandra Taal


Tso Chigma or Chandra Taal (meaning Lake of the Moon), or Chandra Tal is a lake in Lahaul division of Lahul and Spiti district of Himachal Pradesh, India.[1] Chandra Taal is near the source of the Chandra River. Despite the harsh and inhospitable environment, it is located in a protected area with flowers and wild animals in the summer. It is a popular place for hikers and mountain hikers. It is mostly associated with Spiti but is geographically a part of Lahaul. Kunzum La separates the valleys of Lahaul and Spiti.
